Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Ruth,

Praying for you! Sorry to hear things are stessful. I have noticed the girls are more emotional than the boys and mine are just little.

Also, I never appreciated my mother and all she did for me till I had moved out and wasn't at home anymore. Then, I realized just how much she did for me since I was having to do it for myself!!!! Also, when I became a mother, I really appreciated her sacrifice in a new way. They are just trying to etablish themselves and their own identity. Not that that makes it easier, but just like a tantrum from a two year old, so is the teen-age "tantrum". (In fact I think I read somewhere that they are very closely related; how your two year old acted and how that is sort of revisited in teen-aged years.)

Anyway.......take care of my baby boy tomorrow!!!! I am nervous about him being out and about in crowds when he is not used to that. So, you be his mama!!!! We will have to catch up soon!!! Let me know when you can visit.

Dear Ruth,

We are about to pray our family Rosary and I will offer my prayers for you and your dear ones. Hang in there and be gentle on yourself. You are a wonderful mother and wife--exhaustion makes everything seem so much worse. Please try and get some rest!!

Much love to you!!

Thank you for your continued prayers for me and my family. There is so much going on here, my MIL living with us and everything that comes with this, all the renovations for more living space, etc. I'm being pulled in way too many directions, and I don't even leave my house until Fridays for Mass and groceries. The kids want more than what we can give them. I guess it's part of growing up. Thank you again.

Ruth - I understand this feeling of being pulled on and in a million different directions at once. And it never fails that our patience is called upon in a heroic way right when we seem to be at our lowest. I continue to pray for you and your family!

My heart and prayers go out to you Ruth.

Big families and homeschooloing is a life that can only be achieved with Gods heavenly mercy and grace and hanging on to Our lady’s hem with all our might. I have heard it called a white martyrdom. They say mothering is the most important job in the world but at times a mother can feel the most worn out and battered person in the world. I suppose this is when our offerings become so central to our sanctification. I am writing this generally but feeling this very personally.
God bless you
Chemai

This is exactly how I feel, but I can't go into it too much right now. Your prayers are carrying me through.

This has been a very difficult week. We are definately being spiritually attacked. Yesterday morning I could not imagine facing another day with so much bickering. I felt frozen, so I asked our Lady to help me be their mother. They are such wonderful kids. They really are. Thank you for listening. I'm offering up many prayers for your intentions.
