Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Joann,

You have been through more than I could even imagine!
I would say that if you have asked is it time..., I would just go and make an appointment. So, my "advice" doesn't really differ from anyone elses.
And I would second the spiritual advisor idea also.

You have suffered so much, your Cross has been enormous, and I will be praying for you!!!!!!

God Bless,
Stacy in MI

I have searched around and the nearest "help" would be about 50 miles away, and this is not Catholic help.

Does anyone know if there are any Catholic pychologist type help that would be through the phone or internet?
50 miles for "worldly" advice just doesn't seem possible, but if it was good Catholic help....that would be different...

I have looked into the wonderful link posted up above, and that is more peer encouragement, but I am going to e-mail them (when I get the nerve)

Dear Joann

I am not sure where you are. There is a Catholic clinic in the DC/MD/VA area - I have not been but have heard wonderful things - and I have read the Bennett's book - maybe you could call them and they would be able to do a phone consult or recommend someone in your area.

The clinic is

Alpha Omega Clinic

Continued prayers and hugs

Joann,

I've had occasion to talk to Dr. Popcak at Pastoral Solutions Institute. He is a good Catholic therapist, and does phone consultations.

I pray this or some other source someone offers will be of help for you. I am praying so hard for you!

Joann,
Bless your heart! You are a brave, courageous and very blessed woman. You have been through a lot. I think it is time to find somebody that can help you. I have heard stories of people that have dealt with similar issues after almost dying, and you have been close more that once.

Since there might not be someone close by, maybe the Pastoral Solutions Institute seems like a good solutions. It is OK to get help and I think it is time.

Count on my prayers.

Dear Joann,
I have been praying for you although haven't posted but would just like to say that you are an inspiration to me on many levels.
I will offer all my sufferings up for you and your dh.

God Bless and I pray that God will place a solution in front of you, some how, to find some help and peace.
C

Joann, my friend,

God surely inspired you to post and share this. I know you were seeking help, but I think *you* helped many women. I know you have been a channel of grace to *me*.    Thank you, thank you, thank you for reaching out! I give you my prayers, my sister in Christ, and any help I can ever give (although I am a very weak vessel, myself, to forewarn you ) if you want to PM me for my number or for any reason.

I know he is busy and seems "unattainable"...but who knows---God can work it out if he wants!.....perhaps: Ray Guarendi?   You could shoot him an email and put it in God's hands.   He seems like such a wise and prayerful counselor, and has such a great "bedside manner" that I'd think it would be easy to converse with him. Maybe he could do a phone consult or could even just email a few suggestions. Also: perhaps writing a priest like Benedict Groeschel, who is a psychologist (even if just for advice what to do next), or the amazingly kind sage-like woman, Rosalind Moss?

I will endeavor to offer some very painful crosses in my extended family right now for you. Please God, that I do not waste them....

God bless you!!!
