The wound looks really bad!!! He's on antibiotics, so I will assume this is normal. It does not hurt him at all and it has already closed up, so this is a good sign. Of course, I'm a little nervous. Please keep praying for an uncomplicated recovery. Thank you.

Ruth--Mouth wounds are so scary looking...but if it is not hurting him any more, that is such a blessing. I'll continue to pray.

Ruth, my little brother did this--many years ago when he was a kid....it was a flag in his mouth as he rode his bike, you know, just a little patriotic bike riding.  He ran into a door with the bike, flag stick poked into the back of his throat...and within hours, it got awful looking, very scary!! Antibiotics did the trick....and he was fine.
If it isn't hurting bad, and he is without a fever, hopefully the antibiotics will kick in and this will be a bad memory next week.
Praying for all....it is alway something, isn't it?!?!

Kolbe still cannot eat solids. I'm pureeing everything in our Vitamix. He is not in pain, but the hole is healing very slowly.  I'm praying for a quick closure and no infection after the antibiotics end on Thursday. Thanks.
