I'm with you, Maria. Remember when our family was still in PA? When post after post was the sharing of a family "trapped in a B movie?" Poor St. Joseph was hearing from our family and friends everyday. I wondered what he did before our struggling family came along!
We really hit a low when we decided that we needed to leave PA (March.) We sold our home, my dream home mind you (August) and moved into a duplex in a college town and lived next to pampered undergrads! By November I remember saying to Dave, "Honey, I've been holding it together for 3 years but if I don't see an end in sight soon, I'm afraid I might break." He said, "Well, let's picture ourselves in the future. We are over this hurdle. We are at a time of peace. We can see God's plan in retrospect. Are we going to kick ourselves for time wasted on anxiety and worry?" So, I would wake up and pray and weep and then I would picture myself in the future...Within weeks we found that we were going to AZ and the rest you know...abundantly blessed.
God works through each of us, and each family, uniquely. I can't begin to understand His plan. In the mean time, we can cheer each other on through the struggles, comfort each other through the suffering, and celebrate with each other during times of peace and joy.
Thanks for being there for me and my family through our especially tough time, Maria. You all are doing great. Our love and prayers continue to be with you during yours.
Right back acha .
Love,

Hi Families,
We're still trudging through mud here...
Steve got hired with Target but the job won't start for 2 more weeks...he's been submitted for a position that "Needs someone by Monday" but everything is "Hurry up and wait..."
We went to mass this am and I begged, begged for employment. And as I type this the sun came out from behind the clouds.
Please keep praying for us.

Thanks Victoria and Leonie.
I was down earlier when I wrote the above post...but then I remembered...
This morning at mass I prayed for relief. Well, relief comes in different ways...
Tonight here in Sacramento, is the annual fancy-schmancy pro-life dinner at the Grand Sheraton Hotel. Well, it's costly and there was just no way we were going. Well, we're going. We're the guests of a couple who purchase a table. I've never been! But my nails are painted, my hair is curled and I'll be putting on make-up here soon. So, I get a date with my husband for free. Friends are watching the kids and this afternoon, they called to say, "Don't worry about dinner. We've got it covered! Also, we're gonna do smores in the outdoor fire pit, weather permitting!" Isn't that nice? I cried. Not because I won't get a smore but because someone would do that for my kids. What a fun memory for them.
Anyway, these little breaks really mean alot to me. I haven't dressed up in a long time. Incidentally, I'm wearing a black skirt, with a Granny apple green blouse. My nails are a cherry red to match my lips. What's a hot mama to do?
Go to a pro-life dinner, I say. Who knows? Maybe Steve will get a job from someone tonight. Stranger things have happened.
Anyway, about Target, I'm not sure if it's full-time or not. He'll work in electronics. He was hired at $7.00 an hour but he's going to see if Costco pays more....maybe he'll end up with both jobs....
My friends, thank you for your prayers. I must seem crazy...being so down earlier and now so content.
I better run.
Thanks, again...so very much.

Maria,
Give yourself permission to feel down sometimes - it's okay, you are dealing with a lot.
Have a great time tonight!
