Thank you all for your prayers. They have supported and lifted us up on a very frantic day.

I wish I'd had this quote this morning, Anne. Thank you for sharing it. I know there are still many one-on-one talks ahead with the children and it'll be wonderful food for the journey to offer them.

This prayer offering was a BIG blessing, Elizabeth. I have had to be the pillar of strength today for six, no several, other people and I am more a pillow than a pillar. It's been trying but somehow God always seems to give us the grace and strength we need to move forward. Or He sends others to carry us. I don't know how he does it.

Thank you for the beautiful rosary, Jennifer.
I really can't thank you all enough for the prayers and emails but I'm thankful for each and every one of you and really want to Celebrate PawPaw's life with you.
God bless and keep you all.

I had a V-8 moment earlier and I'd like to ask you all to say a special prayer to St. Peter and Paul.
The reason I ask is because it occurred to me (and hadn't since Mark and I were at retreat on Sunday, the 29th) that PawPaw's b-day was (is) on the feast day of St. Peter and St. Paul and we are celebrating a Pauline Year.
How rich in observance and consolation is our Catholic faith! :)
I found these Pauline prayers.

Cay, as soon as I saw in my inbox "PawPaw has passed on", I burst into tears knowing it was your very special PawPaw. I join you and all who love PawPaw in praying for the repose of his soul...and for strength and peace for all who love and will miss him. Our homepage here will act as a constant reminder of PawPaw:
"I, Paul, am already being poured out like a libation, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have competed well; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith. From now on the crown of righteousness awaits me, which the Lord, the just judge, will award to me on that day, and not only me, but all who have longed for his appearance." 2 Timothy 4: 6-8
Love ,
