I have no idea how. I never open emails from unknown sources. I am on a Mac. "They" generated "secure cards" on my paypal account and charged almost $100 at STARBUCKS. the amounts are still pending, so Paypal and my bank can't do anything, until they clear . I can't unhook my bank from paypal until there is no "pending transactions." According to Paypal, whoever did it used my password. HOW?

I have stuff to sell on Ebay. Now I don't want to use Paypal.

I was just about ready to open my Webstore for Hairbows. Now I am afraid to use paypal for that, either.

And I am so worried about DH's paycheck going into the bank and getting "stolen" on thursday.

After having the bad experience at the dentist this morning, and now this, I am just on the verge of tears.        Well, maybe a little closer than "verge." And it usually takes much more than that to get me here.

is it bedtime yet?

Once you've alerted paypal and your bank of potential fraudulent charges they should be able to freeze your assets at least.

That's weird how they got your password - I've never heard of that, although we have had our debit card #'s stolen - to the tune of $1200 before we figured it out.

Praying that all will resolve smoothly, and for your peace as well.

Praying for you Laura! Right after I opened an account with paypal my cc# was stolen and used for a $600 Best Buy shopping spree! I don't trust that paypal (and I sell on ebay too) - money orders, it's the only way I do it now.

I pray this gets resolved quickly for you. So scary to feel so vulnerable

this happened to us. money was charge to Wilshire Blvd, Rodeo Drive, etc in Hollywood and Beverly Hills. The bank and Paypal both were great helping us fix everything, it just was frustrating, and took some TIME.
