Losing a friend at Trip's age can really be devastating. I will say extra prayers for him.

Thank you all. The school has started a memorial site for Ralph, and the love the students are showing for Ralph is amazing. Sadly, no one had a clue that there was anything troubling him. It's so hard to imagine how this could happen.

I am so sorry, MacBeth! How awful! I still vividly remember going to the funeral of one of my brother's high school friends who killed himself. It was the first funeral that I'd been to, and the first realization for me that a young person could go through anything so serious as to feel that dying would be a solution. I am praying for Ralph, for his family, and for all of the students who are grieving. What a tragedy.

Macbeth, that is tragic news! It is such a devestating thing, my husband sees this as a funeral director and unfortunately it is not that uncommon. I will pray for Ralph's soul and offer a prayer for your Trip, this must be terribly shocking for him in particular.

Oh, this is so sad. I remember my Senior year, just two months before graduation the twin brother of my classmate went home at lunch and took his own life. Again, no one knew anything different was going on in his life and mind. All my prayers.
