WHAT!?!? In Australia, overlooking or not properly investigating such things hits media news, why, why won't they investigate this situation? Surely, there must be a way to pursue this further? How can the law ignore this??? I'm shocked and I feel for your greatly Paula, praying and big hug from way down here!

I was afraid of this. I'm not an expert but I do know that each state has different guidelines. In AZ, CPS will only intervene in the case of "safety" concerns (immediate or very near future, moderate to severe degree of harm, and a need to control the situation) which is different from "risk" (longer term timeframe, low to severe degree of harm, and a need to resolve or reduce the risk.) I'm so sorry. At least this incident is still part of the discoverable paper trail.

That is just ridiculous! You hear of people having trouble with CPS over yelling at their kid in the grocery store or a false tale of minimal neglect from a neighbor. Then there are real safety concerns like you have that go unchecked?! It just makes no sense.

I am soooo sorry, Paula! Maybe this will be a first step in a change-for-the-better for your son. I am praying for you all, and especially that the Holy Spirit will protect your son and draw him closer to Our Lord each day.
