Ruth - did you end up giving the Motrin? I would think about the doctors too if the Motrin is not working.

I will call this afternoon. Keep nursing and using the dropper to put liquid in her mouth so she does not get dehydrated.

She has strep throat. St. Therese is definately interceding. I walked right in and she got seen right away. Thanks for all your prayers.

Did you know that when you take the temperature under the arm you are supposed to add 2 degrees, not 1? That means her temperature was up above 105. How scary!

FWIW, I think the under the arm temp taking is just kind of inaccurate. I'll often take both (first arm, and if it's high, then rectal) and sometimes it's off by a lot, sometimes (often for this current baby - I guess he has hot armpits? ) hardly anything!

I was actually going to email you about that, but then saw you left for urgent care already. when they are under one, those high temps are not good!! praying for relief soon!!
