It looks like I have giardia again! I can't believe it! I don't know how I could have been more careful except to wear gloves when changing Rachel's diaper. I have washed my hands so much that my fingers are cracking and bleeding. 
My symptoms started yesterday and I took the RX the doctor called in today. I'll know for sure by Thursday if my "sample" was positive but I didn't want to wait as the symptoms are awful!  Our whole family, except Rachel who is on her THIRD round of antibiotics, just submitted samples after I got it and everyone of them was negative....including mine (after antibiotics). I just don't understand and I'm crying here.  Adoption is such a hard thing to go through without this too!
Please, please pray for us to get rid of this for good and get healthy. And that no one else in the family gets it.

Lisa,
I'm praying for you and your family.  Giardia went through our family when I was 6 weeks pregnant with baby #6 so I feel your pain. I'm a 'wash till they bleed' kind of gal too but ever since then, I have worn gloves when changing diapers and we switched from hand towels in the bathrooms to paper towels. I know I'm paranoid and my bill at Sam's Club is a few more dollars each month but it was absolutely no fun. I will definitely pray for rapid restored health for those afflicted and immunity for those who aren't. God bless you for adopting little Rachel.

I'm praying for your family...We've been through this too, and it was so difficult! It's very hard to get rid of. I got rid of it once, and it came back a few weeks later! At least you can get your RX right away and you know the signs.
