Oh, thank you! I am about ready to get some tape and cotton balls and see if I can raise the level of comfort on these glasses! I am so not used to wearing heavy glasses in the hottest part of the year.

I will pray for your eyeballs! lol. I like your sense of humor.
I had eye issues in the past month 2, and was quite a sight to see, not to mention the discomfort. So I sympathize and will definitely pray!

Yes!!! Yes!!! I have contacts in!!!
I can see, hooray, hooray!!!
The doc gave me a totally clean bill of health, no sign of the previous problem at all, thank you ladies, thank you!
I ordered a new pair of glasses today too, the lovely technician was horrified at my old tarnished pair and gave me every discount under the sun that she could finangle. She was quite forceful about only showing cute frames suitable to my face and was really sweet, I'm sure it had nothing to do with dear Marianna sitting beside me and telling her that I look like a Wraith from Stargate!
So I chose a cute dark framed squarish pair that everyone there was estatic about. They're cute and comfy but after the appointment I was telling my dh what I chose and he went all quiet on me, finally bursting out with - You picked out a pair of BC glasses???
So this wraith won't be populating the universe anytime soon, but at least she'll be able to see where she's going!!!

I was just wondering the other day how your eyes were doing, Jen! I was secretly hoping you got a pretty pair of glasses out of the deal! I know exactly the ones you're talking about and they do sound pretty and quite fashionable! Regardless, I'm thrilled to hear that your eyes are healed of their problems and you're back in contacts!
My husband got a serious chuckle out of the BC glasses comment from your husband! Is your husband former military, too? I think I remembered somewhere that you said maybe Navy? I don't know any other group of people that uses that verbage to describe black rimmed glasses!

Oh I'm happy for you, Jennifer! When I got my dark rimmed glasses (also chosen by the technician with way more style than me) I was shocked at how many people loved them...to the point that I questioned how bad I must have looked in my previous wire-rimmed glasses . I do love the dark frame, they are so much easier to find when not on my face .
BC glasses....that's funny (yep, my man is military)
Love,

Jennifer, praying for you! How are you doing today? Sending hugs your way! There is nothing worse that getting used to glasses, but heh, St. Lucy's platter is so much worse than that isn't it? LOL You are so funny! Did you get some little sun visors to snap onto your frames too? One of our sons has had glasses since he was three, now seventeen and just recently had enough, ditching them and holding his own..so far, thanks to the advice of the optometrist. I'll have to tell him your St. Lucy reference, very sweet. Hugs!
