Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Oh, Marianne, I am so sorry! What a difficult thing to have to be so, so busy this week while you are grieving too. I wish you lived near me so I could watch your kids or send a teenager over to babysit. Is there anyone in your homeschool community or your parish who could help in a pinch?

I had two miscarriages and did not have to have any medical intervention with either. I know that it is necessary sometimes, but I hope you can just have it happen naturally.

Prayers for you!

If you can, I'd opt for the natural delivery route both for your body and for the peace it affords in delivering your tiny one. There is tremendous peace in a burial of the little body.

Marianne, I am so very sorry for your loss. I have had two miscarriages, one naturally and one by D&E. I absolutely agree with Jennifer. If I could have delivered the 2nd naturally, I absolutely would have. It breaks my heart that I was never able to see my 4th child in person.

My prayers will be with you.

If anyone has any advice about going natural or a D&C, please let me know.

Marianne, I am so so sorry.
D and C can cause permanent uterine scarring, preventing implantation of another new little life, so I would opt for "natural" if you can.
I am sorry that this is such a busy time for you as well.
Praying for you and your family.
Peace of Christ,

Natural is preferred absolutely but take care of yourself as well. Trust yourself and your husband to know when things are going well and when they might be dangerous. I let my natural delivery go too long and ended up just minutes away from a blood transfusion. My wonderful pro-life OB came in just in time to do the D&C before I passed out from blood loss. Sympathetic prayers for you during this difficult time!

Marianne,

I have had 2 D&C's. My body just never "lets go" of my babies....So I have had to go that route, unfortunately. I have never had any problem with recovery or any side effects. My recovery has always been very quick (well, the physical recovery, that is!.

If you would like information about them, feel free to PM me...

Prayers for you during this sad time. I will offer my day for you!
