Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Here is a site with lots and lots of fun and educational games. Educational Learning Games I haven't placed and order with them but will be doing so this week. In addition to all the great suggestions, we have enjoyed some of the Cranium games, like Hullaballoo for the littles and Ziggity. Not Cranium Cariboo, though - we could never find all six of those temptingly tantalizing bouncy rubber balls so I ended up getting rid of the game. For math games look at Muggins/Knockout etc, available on the site I posted and also at Love to Learn There are two versions of these math games available - a cheaper version and a pricier double sided wooden version. Guesstures is a fun charades game that younger ones can join in with. And PIT! I had forgotten that one, and may have to buy that for my brothers and sisters this Christmas. That will be a trip down memory lane. We also played a card game which involved paying duties on various products, such as perfume, diamond necklaces, brandy and scotch, and there was a diplomatic bag card which made you immune to duty, and a crown jewels card which you had to smuggle. Hmmmm, doesn't sound so wholesome does it? We had lots of fun with it, though. I wish I could remember the name. Sorry this list is a little incoherent and random, but I wanted to add Skip-Bo as a fun inexpensive card game, and also Pass the Pigs is cheap and a real riot. Little ones can play that, too. Enjoy your games nights everyone!

This is so wonderful you guys -- so many of these I played with my family and had forgotten -- one we LOVED was Mille Bornes -- we went to a French bilingual school for grammar school and used to play it in school and so then we started it up ant home and it became a favorite! "Pass the Pigs" is a riot -- I can remember playing with my first husband's family one Christmas -- my bil was up on the table trying to determine if the pig was a "leaner" or a "snouter" -- and this guy was an army sgt who was off to Desert Storm shortly after -- still brings tears to my eyes!

I'm porbably going to get some of these now -- for "school" and then the oterhs for Christmas surprises.

Keep the suggestions coming!

FYI- I saw in Sunday's ads that Toys R Us is having a big sale on games. All Hasbro, Milton Bradley and Parker Brothers games are "Buy One Get One Free" this week. That's a great deal and it looks like they are offering it for online sales as well (with free shipping). Can't beat that.

I received an email yesterday from amazon about the "Buy One Get One Free" offer. However my email did not contain the the promotional code you need to check out. I can't find it anywhere. Can anyone help?

Mary Ellen:

When you go to order a game, click on the link for "select games" and then scroll down through till you find the game you want added to the order -- there's a code there and you type that in when you go to order. You;ll need to do separate orders if you're getting more than 2 games -- it will only allow "one promo" per order ... clear as mud?
