Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am off to the vitamin store to get evening primrose oil. I think I got confirmation on this when I was browsing through Anna Comstock'sHandbook of Nature Study and I recognized a mystery plant that's been growing in my flowerbed this summer. Can you guess what it is? Evening primrose! I've been trying to figure this out all summer since I noticed the pretty yellow flowers opening in the evening; then I saw the picture in the nature handook. When I saw it was evening primrose I was saying to myself "Where did I just hear something about evening primrose?"
Another hormonal symptom: short memory span.

Dear Tracy Q,
I hope I'm not to late to get a reply from you, this thread hasn't had a post for a while but I was wondering how your sister got well? Was it just through the B Complex vitamins?
I can relate to what you have said. I need some answers for my hormone imbalances they are driving me crazy.

Thank you ladies for sharing. It is so good to know that others experience the same things as yourself (even though I am saddened by your suffering) sometimes with this sort of thing you certainly can feel so alone.
This forum is a huge blessing. I thank God for it - what a life line.

Aren't you still post-partum? My midwife had recommended SAM-E (sorry I've seen it on the shelf but have no idea what it is) for another friend when I inquired about something to help her.

And don't forget your thyroid. My thyroid crashed post-partum after my 5th baby. Do have it tested if it hasn't been yet.

I do hope you find some relief soon!

Chemai,
Yes, I'm not sure how it is different if you are post partum.

My sister and I have the same symptoms with peri-menopause. Our hormones bounce all over, and you feel like you're going to jump out of your skin, and jump down everyone's throat! When taking vitamin B, we feel more even keeled for the most part, and when we don't, we can literally feel the difference, and know we need to take it in order to feel better. Sometimes the effects take a couple of days or so, so just taking one every day is so much better!

My sister was going through a horrible time, hers was worse. She's 8 years older than I am, so she went through it before I did. I'm not sure why, but in her case, I literally battled Satan for her (that's what it felt like to me). I won. It was one of the most horrible times in my life, and hers, and we're THANKFUL it's over. I told her she owes me that battle should something weird happen to me like that!

Thank GOD (every day I thank Him) that she is back to her old self, and things are SO MUCH BETTER!!! I thank God for her every day!

Sometimes the vitamin B doesn't help completely, but it makes things a whole lot better. I don't know about all of the whys, and what else might be good for me to do, but I do know this one thing has helped tremendously for us.

SAM-E is something someone recently mentioned to me too, Gwen! I wonder what that is?????

Tracy
