Well we are in the market for new (used) cars. Both of our cars had 200,000 plus miles on them. Both were without working a/c and both had conked on us in no man's land - on a Sunday when all local rental places are closed or on a weekend when every single thing in every town for miles around is rented out. My dh ended up having to get a taxi to the nearest airport and then rent from the bigger city to get something to fit us all. Ouch!!!

We replaced our big van (12 seater) with a Sienna (we had to have 8 seatbelts)- used and we drove 3 hours to get one at a decent price.

We are now looking to replace my dh commuter car - well actually, this will probably end up going to college with dd and we'll manage to hang onto the about to die car for emergency purposes. Our problem is that we need a reliable car but cannot afford the Toyota's and Hondas right now - even used they are about as much as new. Maybe we'll get lucky traveling to buy again.
