Further update:
Firstly a thank you to all the ladies who are praying for my daughter.My husband and I are going to fly across on Saturday to bring her home.(He doesn't get back from the Northern Territory until Friday night.) Mel is very weak and couldn't even leave her room to get a glass of water when I spoke earlier today. But she knows we are coming. I told her just to try and hang on until we arrive to which she replied that of course she wanted to but she didn't know that she could guarantee her body would cooperate with her desire.yet at the moment I don't feel "panicky'.I can only hope I'm reading things right.I talk several times a day to her sometimes for several hours each time and I think that helps her.But I wanted to post once before we go to say thank you .May God bless all you lovely ladies and your families for your devotion to Him.

Firstly appologies for not giving feedback after our trip to New Zealand to bring our daughter home. She has been home just over a month. She was too unwell to make her first doctors appointment. She has an appointment coming up on the 19th of this month that I am praying will start the treatment she so badly needs.
I have been battling myself with feeling very low/depressed. The shame of having something invade your family that you normally only read about in the newspaper. Around and around in my head buzz questions, "How could such terrible things happen to our beautiful daughter, why her,how can it be part of His plan for an innocent child to suffer." I felt guilty thinking these thoughts as well as bad about the situation!! It was a lose lose dilema. I feel slowly as if I am getting a little stronger but I know that fear stands close by ready to crowd my mind if I let it. I know that God has placed his love in her just as much as He has in all our children and that He has beautiful gifts in her just waiting to be unfolded. My prayer is for a miracle; that she will turn away from and reject Satan's lie that she deserved all the terrible things that happened and turn to God's wonderful love and in that love find the strength to love herself.

Praying for you and for your darling Mel...and knowing that in God's love she will one day find the happiness and peace she deserves.
You are a wonderful and loving and caring mom, and I will be praying for both of you at today's Assumption Mass. (It's always a special feast for me - I went to a school dedicated to Our Lady's Assumption and I lived in Italy twice, where this holy day is a national holiday.)
May Saint Michael protect all of you right now...
