Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Western is a beautiful campus. Unfortunately, we haven't made it down to Bowling Green since 2002, and they've been so much renovation. I really miss two of my favorite restaurants there: Mancino's (I worked there during my time at WKU) and Happy Inn (my intro. to Chinese food and located right behind my dorm).

We have a few friends that live in Bowling Green, including my favorite professor and his family. They kind of adopted me in college, and his daughter was the flower girl in our wedding. So I still keep up with them.

Bowling Green is a nice family-friendly small city, but the jobs can be pretty limited unless you are in factory, medicine (as in have a medical degree), or food service. Oh, and you have to have patience with all of the Corvette clubs. Bowling Green does have a beautiful Catholic church (St. Joseph's) that is over 100 years old. They actually ring the bell with a rope that hangs down from the ceiling at the entrance of the church. The other Catholic parish has a more modern church.

Yeah--my mom graduated in....1967? LOL. So I doubt much of what she knew is still there. Don't think she has been there in years and years.

Its been a long time since I've been to KY. Had a great uncle die the first of the month, in Louisville, but due to finances, distance, etc, I couldn't possibly go. Its just too far, and DH cannot get time off from work to watch the dc while I would be away.

I wish I had been able to go, though.

Rachel

Thanks, Ladies. Keep them coming. You are providing some great information.

Bestill, do you have a homeschooling group in your area? One thing that I think would get the kids settled quickly in a new place would be an established social network that we could plug into.

We've been checking out parishes, medical, and recreational. We're checking out CSAs, organic farms, and organic groceries. I'm curious about St. Joseph's hospital in Lex. They do have a maternity division, but do all the doctors follow Catholic pro-life principles?

Fortunately, we don't really need to look for employment since we're just moving our business. Everything looks good so far!

We're trying to schedule a visit, but our schedule is so tight. I'm excited about checking it out.

So many questions...

Blessings,
