I'm praying for you very hard.
Also, I just talked to my friend Chari who was just in the hospital, and she wanted you to know that she is offering up her medical issues for you, as well.
Jesus, I trust in You! Sacred Heart, have mercy!

Holding you in prayer, Maddie! I know that it's hard to trust in the face of so much uncertainty and *real* hardship! But heaven is not quiet. God hears you and He is answering you. Trust in that. Trust that He has you and your family in the palm of His hand.

Maddie,
There is some blessing in this although it is hard to see - as you know, we were kicked out of our home in March and now we have a glorious home and we were even gifted with a new van.
God is up to something - but surprises work best in the quiet - He's there!

You are in the middle of God's great and mysterious story, Maddie, and the suffering is profound. You know the end of the story...the promise of eternal life and forever being in His loving presence and with the communion of saints. We need to stick together and pray each other through the dark times. God loves you very much and all is purposeful and for the salvation of our souls! I know that you know this...you will pass this test of faith, dear. Many of us will freely enter into your suffering and hold you up with prayer, like you have done for so many. I will pray the following prayers, suggested by our sisters here, 9X daily for your intentions:
"Sweet and tender Mother of Jesus, you packed up your family and moved them in haste in the Flight to Egypt. You know the anguish and worry Maddie and her family face. Intercede for them now and help them in their passage. Allow them the consolation of knowing that you are guiding them with your loving hand always. Draw them near. Amen"
Our Lady of Perpetual Help, pray for us!
Jesus, I trust in You! Sacred Heart, have mercy!
Love,

Thank you all for your very kind and encouraging words, they are such balm to my soul. We filled out some financial info for the mortgage co. and we are waiting to hear from them regarding any programs of assistance we may qualify for. I hope to hear something Monday.
Meanwhile, I'm "acting as if" we are staying in our home and going about my daily duties. I am trying hard to trust whatever happens will be what is best for our family according to God's Holy Will. My dh and I were discussing how much this has shaken our faith and we realized how very weak our faith must be if we are allowing such a "small" cross to make us doubt. What if the cross had been losing each other or one of our dear babies? Would we have abandoned our faith all together? Wow, I guess I needed this cross to strengthen my faith, if that makes any sense.
So, we continue to wait and pray and trust.
Thank you to each and everyone of you for all the support online and in pm's. All your intentions here are in my daily prayers.

So glad to read your update, Maddie. It sounds like you are doing great. I think that doubt is not so important as what one does in the face of it. We'll continue to pray and you continue to trust, OK?

Well, as I said in another thread, I'm in the kitchen all day today canning and baking and the children are all purple from picking mulberries today. We have a chance to sell our berries, baked goods, and jam at a farmer's market, so I'm hoping to make some extra $$.
But the quick update is: I haven't heard back from the mortgage company regarding any financial aid we may qualify for. I've been trying all day to contact them, but! I went to the mail box yesterday and found a sweet letter from a dear elderly friend who has "adopted" our family, she gave me words of encouragement and a check for a significant amount of money that will at least catch our mortgage back up, putting us out of immediate danger of foreclosure. It doesn't solve the entire financial problem, but it gives some BLESSED relief. God still hears me and knows my sorrow; I feel like a lily of the field.
I thank you all for your prayers and support, I can't tell you how much it has meant to me. In fact, the words "thank you" just doesn't seem to convey the heartfelt gratitude. You all and your intentions are in my daily prayers, you really are one lovely, precious group of ladies and I am so thankful to have found you.
I will update when we hear more, but I am blissfully singing God's praises and begging for the grace to trust even more in the future.
