Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi Kim,

Have you looked at St. Thomas Aquinas Academy by any chance?
When I was seriously considering homeschooling, this would have been my route. They firmly believe in family learning and are very flexible with what you want for your children plus it seemed like an excellent mesh between Charlotte Mason and classical (Ignatian approach) with everything planned out for you.

I pray for all you homeschooling moms frequently!

No, I haven't checked them out yet. (STAA) I am still up in the air with it all. I will try the novena as someone else mentioned.

I was wondering if any of you all know anything about Greek/Roman unit studies or activities to support a study using the Famous Men of Rome series?? Just wondering. I was looking into several things online today and came up with a few books, but I am trying to keep costs down! Never easy.

Thanks for all the thoughts. It does seem as if those who have been more of a "free style" teacher in the past are coming around to desiring more structure. (If I am reading things correctly.) Whereas I always have used the structure and want to have more wiggle room. Interesting, huh?
