Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

About two months ago, my husband started contemplating a major career and geographic move. I told him I'd go wherever and do whatever but I wanted him to spend a good chunk of time in front of the Blessed Sacrament before the decision was made. He's been really busy and I haven't nagged but I've been praying pretty much incessantly that he'd make that adoration time. Today, he ran camera for EWTN at the Shrine for the Pope's visit. He usually directs and is in the truck but this time he wanted to actually see the Pope in person so he was a camera guy. The Secret Service insisted that the camera people be in their places three hours before the Pope arrived. Mike's position? The Blessed Sacrament Chapel! He spent three hours there and he was there with the Pope when the Holy Father adored the Eucharist.
I'm thinking God answered my prayers .

Oh, and I still have no idea what we're doing about the move--stay tuned.
ETA: He just sent me a text message. He's still in there. He had to stay there all during Vespers and will be there through the Pope's address to the bishops.

I wonder how anyone can disbelieve the existence of God. Isn't this just an amazing post? I am so thankful for everything today - the Holy Father's visit, President Bush's wonderful remarks this morning - and I know God is present here with all of us.

Elizabeth, you and your intentions are part of my prayers today...and thanks for sharing.

Don't think he can make a bad decision after all that!

Although I won't allow you to move away before I get to see you again and say more than two words to you this time.

How cool is that, Elizabeth! And we were watching intently over the internet EWTN's transmission ... great camera work (much better than whoever did this morning's ) and Pope Benedict did great.

Hope all works toward God's plan and that y'all discern His will (altho, if you could try to be in VA in June so I could at least meet you before you move, that would be nice, Ebeth!)

Thank you so much for sharing. I have goosebumps all over. May God continue to bless your whole family and may He guide you to where you are meant to be.

I was once told by a very wise mother of 12 to place any possibility of moving in Our Lady's hands. If you have not already done so, I strongly encourage you to do the same.
