Dear Molly - I am so sorry to hear how you were treated. I am praying for peace for you and for a good doctor.
I went through the same things when expecting my twins 9 years ago - they were monoamniotic and monochrionic and we could not find a doctor that would take us as the risk is so high with mono monos. All the doctors we saw told us to get a termination.We were getting ready for me to go to England for the pregnancy when one perinatologist took us on - everyone said that the risks were so high that they would either not survive the pregnancy or that they would have severe health problems - heart/cerebral palsy/blindness etc.
Well - my guys are big strong 8 year olds now - they were born very early but we are so grateful to the doctor who gave them a chance.

Molly, my heart goes out to you. When I was expecting my third child, my ex-ob/gyn called and asked me if I wanted to have an abortion based on the results of my AFP test (I think that's the name of it...I no longer take the test) and my ultrasound. I don't understand why people think that it is okay to advise mothers to kill their babies. I am praying for you and your baby.

That is a TERRIBLE thing to say to an expecting mother.
The whole thing is very symptomatic of the culture of anti family, anti children, anti God and anti life.
In addition to praying for you, we need to pray for these very ignorant and insenstive midwives (and other medical professionals). Imagine who else they have said this to and perhaps the mother took their advice???
Big hugs and WE don't think that you are mentally unstable.

There isn't much more to add except that I agree with what everyone else has said.
Renee is right to pray the Memorare frequently.

Did you ever have a level 4 ultrasound?
