Renee, your faith and trust are an inspiration to me. I can only imagine how hard this all must be. My father went through a very difficult liver transplant two years ago. Looking back on all that happened in the years before and after, we truly see God's hand and perfect timing. It is so hard when walking that path, though. I continue to keep you all in my daily prayers. May God protect your family and strengthen your husband, may He continue to guide you all and give you strength to walk this path. I am praying now especially through the intercession of Padre Pio, who has interceded for my father.

Dear friends;
Words cannot express how your tender continued compassion and care towards our family touches our hearts. Between the folks on this board and via private messages, truly we feel wrapped in your love and comforted by your prayers. Thank you so much.
For today thought, I have happy and wonderfully blessed news to report to you today. Five things have crept up my blessings list today - count them - FIVE!!! hee hee.. should I be surprised?? ' God is good!
*- There was some confusion with the surgeon who will retire next year and wasn't sure at first whether or not to take on my husband's case after the initial appointment, but he has since accepted it. That's one! ''
*- The surgeon has opted out of attending to day to day medical care with his patients so referred my husband's case to a fabulous well revered Pulmonologist working in our new home's locale at our hospital. The drive from our home door to door for this exciting care is only an eight minute drive! That's two! ''
*- Just found out and realized the blessing of having a huge generator built into the entire breaker panel of the electrical box. In the event of a power outage, my husband's oxygen therapy around the corner will never experience interruptions. God is so good! That's three!''
*- All of our older children and their families have decided they are all coming to experience a big family reunion together during the month of July next year, ALL OF THEM! Can you say - overjoyed here today! My Grandbabes will be in my arms once more, all seven of them!!! YES! That's four! ''
*- We have no internet capabilities in our new area, only a "Satellite Internet" provider. Has anyone used this service? So pricey at 800.00 for a satellite installed and then a whopper of a monthly fee for service. Meanwhile, some of my dear friends were praying for me to find a "great coffee shop" and I am happy to report - there is one nearby WITH internet wireless free of charge to stay in touch with the cyberworld to family and friends. I am over the moon with all these things, just happy, happy. That's five! ''
So sorry for the length of this post, but I am so very pleased (!) to be able to report something making me smile so much here, even with the tears coming uninvited that are sliding down my cheeks as I type this up.
Thank you again. God Bless you all!

Well, humor seems to follow our family everywhere. If it wasn't so funny though, I think I would spill a pile of uninvited tears today.
We just found out the carpet layers won't be able to complete their task on installing the hardwood flooring in the master bedroom in our new home (my husband can't have carpet) and the entire basement in fact. We've postponed our moving truck for three days and have grand plans to camp out on the floor of our new home now while we wait on its arrival. As I've shared with some, my husband is not into camping, but maybe I've made it sound so delightful to him, he's agreed. laugh, laugh, laugh
Problem today though, I am fighting back a sinus cold/infection onstart and have to make this GONE before he returns home on Friday, and then comes along my monthly to boot. I am done today! Whew... spent. Maybe I'll be off for a good nap in a moment, head hurts. Could you please just say a quick prayer for me if you think of me today that this too shall pass? This is something very dangerous for my hubby to contract with his disease producing so much mucus and the fear of infection placing him in jeopardy within a 24 hour period.
Meanwhile, I am dreaming "camping" and would love any hints, tips or ideas to make this a little more 'fun'. '' We will drive for over four hours first, caravaning with two very full vans plus animals all the way there. I think some "fun" will be in full order.
I think of you all here often and offer my daily rosaries for the intentions of this board. There is always so much to pray for, and so much too to be thankful for. God Bless you all! '[=D>'

Renee,
You have such a good attitude even with all this adversity! Sorry, my hubby and I are not much for camping, so I don't have any advice there. I will keep you all in my prayers. I think you should definitely have that nap. It's the least you deserve!

Renee - I will pray for all of your intentions!
For camping in the living room...would your budget allow for the purchase of an air mattress? That allows for a little comfort. The kids can use sleeping bags. How about some Jiffy Pop and a movie if you have a portable laptop or small tv/dvd player? If there's no option for the movie - maybe a new book as a read aloud. Is there a fire place? A fire always makes things so cozy and welcoming - I'd camp anywhere with a nice fire to soothe the nerves! I'll pray that you can come up with a few great ideas for the "camp-in"!

Renee,
I think making it a "slumber party" atmosphere would be fun, hide and go seek with flashlights would be fun in a new dark house....make so-mores with marshmellow creme, etc? (chocolate, operative ingredient there!)
Sinus infection.....maybe you should look into one of those nasal rinses....ask your doc, I think they are okay with what is going on with you.....it might help stop the infection, at least stop its severity, and shorthen its unwelcomed stay. You can get them over the counter.....mucinex is another good thing with sinus stuff....lifesaver for me!!
God Love you, Renee, you are terrific, you are one of my sisters in chaos!! I wrote a poem about it, but can't quite figure out linking.....beyond my capabilities, BUT...it is just about our little sorority we have for ladies with special needs kiddos and lots of chaos in our life, your husband's needs doubly qualify you to be a SIC...sister in chaos!!
Praying, and thanks for the updates!

Thanks so much for the hints and tips. Somehow the idea of playing hide and seek in the dark is most tempting, so the flashlights are now packed in the van for our "love in camping trip". Just think! No furniture to bump into. Ha, now that's fun!
My hubby is home with NO MORE commuting in store for our family!! Woot, woot!!! We counted 62 commute flights in all, happy it's over!
My hubby is also seemingly holding his own right now, but more information has come our way with grueling physiotherapy up ahead after the new year. He'll be attending three times each week, however each session will be six hours in duration! I have no idea what they'll be doing to/with him, but needless to say, it sounds serious. He's secreting 8-10 tbsp. of mucus each day now due to the disease, fear of infection is great. He won't be able to play hide and seek with the rest of us but offered to play referee at the finish line. hee hee ''
Please be sure we will all be offering up our moving week here for all of your intentions on this board. Bless you all for your love and care of one another here, I have been greatly touched by all of you.
