Ruth, several years ago we tried e-filing a tax return and my sons SSN had already been used. We checked our numbers and paper filed that year. Haven't had a problem since. Could it be something as simple as someone else transposing their SSN numbers on their return? Granted, our situation was probably 7 years ago before ID theft was as prevalent as it is now.

I will pray that everything gets resolved quickly. We had our CC number stolen once. It is a scary feeling know how vulnerable we are.
