Maddie, I am so relieved that she has stabalized but how terribly frightening all that must have been.  I will continue to pray for her, look forward to any new updates you get.

Your friend should be tested for von Willebrand's Disease, if she never has been before. This is a blood clotting disorder that frequently in only diagnosed after severe hemorraging post delivery.
My niece's son has been diagnosed with this disorder, and it is very manageable, provided it is known in advance.
I will be praying for your friend's continued healing. Glad to hear that the baby is doing well.

Thank you all for your prayers. I just spoke with them again, they are on their way home from the hospital! Thanks be to God. Our priest anointed her and she was able to receive Holy Communion. Happy, thankful tears.  The baby is beautiful.
