I feel like I always sound like such a downer, but could you please say a prayer for my courage to be renewed? Lately I've been getting very little sleep and have had to deal with many issues with the kids -- special needs related, twin-related, and otherwise. I am completely unable to keep up with the house, and my dh has been stressed about it. (Not to mention I've been stressed about it!!) He also has big ideas for our little homestead, but mostly they fall on me to implement and I can't take on one more thing. He knows that and it's been disappointing to him. I don't like that -- it makes me feel like I've failed him -- but everything is just sort of overwhelming right now.

Today was especially tough, and I feel very much like giving up.

Praying for you! My lenten reading is Mother Theresa's "No Greater Love", and I just read that if you are disappointed, it is because you are relying on your on power, not God's. That was so encouraging to me- a great reminder to turn it all over to HIm and do the best I can. She also said that the only way to learn humility is to be humiliated. Again, that is helping me see my "failures" as great opportunities to learn (although some days I feel like I already should be the most humble person alive ).

Anyway- keeping you in my prayers.

Homesteading/farming is so very tough, isn't it?
The land just calls out to be used to its full potential but that can't happen without lots and lots of WORK. It's exhausting just remembering what it was like.
