Jennifer--thanks for the continued prayers..
No news yet today. Our real estate agent is an hour behind us, and she doesn't get off of her "real" job (she's a teacher in an alternative high school) until 3. So we won't hear from her at all til about 5 our time, likely. God willing, it will be before that, so we can see what, if any, other offers we ought to put out...
PLEASE PRAY HARD!!!
Thanks!
Rachel

Well, we didn't hear anything today. Nothing. Our agent says that they may be taking this offer more seriously...and are actually thinking about it. We'll see tomorrow.
Please, keep up the prayers...
Rachel

They refused it. We re-offered at 185. But we really cannot afford to go much higher.
Our agent suggested that if they won't take it this go round, to wait a few weeks, after the house has been with this "new" agency for a full 60 days. And then to re-offer with this amount (assuming that they won't take it this time).
DH also wonders about the option of offering them 185 for the house and 60 acres instead of the house and 80 acres. We'd have to have a permanent easement at one end of the property though, and I don't even know if the sellers will be able to go for that...
SIGH
Please, keep praying....
Rachel

Well, again, no news. We expected to hear something Friday (since we offered on Thursday), but nothing on Friday, and nothing all weekend, and nothing today...
I hope this is GOOD...

Okay. It wasn't good. There was not a positive response. We offered them the 180 for the house and 60, but they refused that one.
We put in an offer last night, 200. For all of it. But that is as high as we can go. SO if they refuse this offer, then we will have to make another trip out there to househunt. Only if I go, it will be a much shorter trip, as DH's back doesn't hold up well after about 3 days of moving and lugging the boys around...
Please pray for us. We are SO ready to have this over with. We have heard that DH will be out of the army--officially--as of April 24th, but will be on terminal leave as of March 5th..so we could move in early March, no problem (as long as the movers have packed us up, lol). But we want/need to get out of here. It's really driving us nuts, esp with the boys getting more and more mobile...they are now 9mos old, and are working on schooching their way across the floors...driving me crazy trying to keep my floors spotless, trying to keep everything away from them that they could possibly hurt themselves with/on/etc.
PLEASE pray that we can find a place that isn't too expensive--or isn't going to take us forever to get into. We're still not 100% that we have this one sold, so we're kind of stressing about that too.
Rachel

Oh Rachel, I know how stressful this can be. I'll be praying for your family and for favor with the sale of your current home and purchase of a new one.

Well, they didn't take the last offer, so we're on to something else...which means I'll be making another trip from NC to OK/KS this next week to look at more houses/properties. We're hoping to be able to get a decent one soon. DH's last day in the army is approaching fast. And we just SOOOO want to be OUT OF HERE!!!!!!! 1100 sqft, and 7 people, all of them at home, all the time, on 1/4 acre lot...DRIVING ME INSANE....
Anyway, please pray. We need it. BADLY. And, if you could please add in prayers that we find out for certain that this house is sold, that would be wonderful, too, simply because it alleviates one more concern on an already pretty depressing list...
Rachel
