Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I cannot begin to say how touched I am, and how grateful, for all of your prayers, advice and kind words. It really was so hard for me to post my request.

I am really on a roller coaster. Yesterday, I had a lovely visit with Ruth. The baby slept on my chest almost the whole time and we just relaxed and chatted. But after she left, Seth started one of his crying spells while I tried to figure out dinner, and I fell apart. It seems like my days are filled with these ups and downs. It was such an accomplishment to get spaghetti and a salad on the table by dinner time. I was proud of myself for sticking with the task at hand, when I wanted to walk away and tell them to eat hot dogs. My expectations are a little low these days.

I can feel the efficacy of your prayers. I feel more peace even when I am crashing. It hasn't been quite so desperate.

I am trying to figure out where to start, what I can "fix" first. Ruth encouraged me to make a very simple dinner rotation and stick to it. So, I am thinking I will start with food and prayer. If I can get into a routine again with those two aspects of our life, maybe I can dig myself out.

I am planning on going back to the OB for my postpartum check-up and will ask about checking my progesterone levels. I am trying to remember to take my prenatal DHA which seemed to help with my bout of depression before the baby was born.

The image of you all helping me to carry my cross as Simon helped our Lord is so beautiful and I am keeping it my mind for those really low moments.

God bless you all.
Thank you.

Molly--I haven't had time to reply but I have been praying and will keep doing so. I am carrying a bit of an emotional load right now and I will offer my sadness for you.
