Dear Molly
My heart is aching for you - so sorry that you have to go through this. I am praying a lot. I just want to share some thoughts and bible verses that I have been saying to myself when things are tough:
- Suffering is redemptive - there is some meaning to your pain. The bible verse (in Corinthians?) says - "we are heirs with Christ...IF we have suffered with him" Suffering is sanctifying.
- The verse from Jeremiah - "I know the plans I have for you...plans to prosper you and not to harm you..plans to give you a hope and a future..." God is in control - he has determined the days of your life before you are born.
- God will never let you be tested beyond what you can bear
- "God has not given us the spirit of fear - but that of power and love and a sound mind"
- "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight"
- "For I am certain that nothing can separate us from the love of God"
I am praying for you the way I am praying for me - begging God to heal but offering up the pain for various things.

Prayers for peace and strength for you Molly. Sometimes it helps me to look at things logically, and sometimes I cannot be the one to point these things out to myself  Please do not think I am in any way discrediting your feelings ok.
~You did just have a baby
~You did just post about a baby with colic
I think the hormone roller coater after birth can cause any of us to lose our joy...then add a baby with colic  and the world may just seem downright dark with no hope of ever catching a glimpse of light again.
I will ask you what a dear friend always asks me..."Are you drinking enough water?" and then my dear mother in law would always count back how many weeks since I had delivered and say, "Yep, time for a good cry or two or more..." Plus the elusive sleep we constantly crave; all of these can make a huge difference in our mental state, at least in mine, pregnant/post partum or not.
Again, prayers for you. I will remember you at my rosary tonight.

Hang in there, OK? You've got all of us. We love you. And no matter what--- your family adores you. And God loves you in a way none of us can comprehend. It's so hard to go through these times...it feels so lonely. I'm with you---I totally know. You're not alone. And there are so many others.
Have hope!!!!

Dear Molly,
You are in my prayers. As I read all of these wonderful posts, I could not help but think of our Lord, who while carrying His cross, accepted the assistance of St. Simon. All of these woman are truly Simon for you.
Please rely on their strength while you are weak. Someday, the tables might be turned and they will have need of yours.

Dear Molly
How are you doing today? While I was praying for you this afternoon I thought of a couple of things:
1) Cod liver oil - apparently every baby we have reduces our stores of Omega 3s - so we need to supplement. I feel so much better for taking a fish oil supplement. This helps with depression, inflammation, skin, hair etc
2) Journaling - maybe you could find a couple of minutes a day with a cup of tea to just write down all your frustrations and fears and prayer requests. I know it always helps me out and I can look back and see how God has worked and answered my prayers.

Molly, I suffer greatly from a very low level of progesterone, which I know can cause panic attacks, anxiety, and great depression. I have a few mom friends who get progesterone shots before they even leave the hospital after delivery to "boost" those depleted levels. even the progesterone cream could make a difference for good.
I want to second the cod liver oil. I use Carlson's Lemon flavor, and can tell a HUGE difference when I forget to take it. It helps me alot. Amazon actually has a good price on it.
