Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

That sounds rotten... and you sounded so cheerful in your blog post this morning!

I'll be sure to pray overnight when I'm up with the baby, Dawn. I know tooth pain can be bad at night.

Oh, Dawn, sorry to hear that. Tomorrow will be a better day, though, when you get to see your dentist and get some relief.

Well, I'm back from the periodontist, and it is what I suspected - an infection. Not sure if it started due to the stitches staying in too long or if somehow some bacteria got in there.

They took out the stitches, and started me on an extremely strong antibiotic - for the third time in two months. One that gives me crazy side effects, but doesn't make me sick like other forms of penicillin. (Clindamyacin (sp?) - anyone been on this?) In 10 days he'll do an x-ray to see if the implant is OK.

Thanks again for the prayers dear friends, they are definitely carrying me through this ordeal ...

My son was on clindamycin in June for a mrsa infection on his leg! It is heavy duty, but will, prayerfully, knock those bacteria out!
I'll keep praying for the infection to clear fast and the implant to be fine.

God Bless,

Oh Dawn that sounds terrible! Hopefully the antibiotics will clear things up quickly. I just got back from the dentist for a re-do of a re-do of a root canal. We are trying to save the tooth, although at this point I am ready to take it out!

Friends, I go this afternoon for another periodontist check ... if the site is not healing properly, the implant will have to be extracted. (It seems much better, but I can tell it's not 100%.)

Please pray this turns out ok, however that might be. I just need to heal. I really don't want to have the implant extracted (which means it will have to go in again at a later date after I heal up) but if it's best than so be it.

I just want this over, and I want to feel better. Thank you so much for your prayers and support.

Hope you got some good news today. I guess the roads are clear in your area, at least enough for you to travel. If we had as much snow as you do now, everything here would be shut down.
