So sad. One of the things that attracted me most to the Church was the authority and the universality - humph!

It's not a Holy Day of obligation here - but we went to mass - the bishop was "doing" the service, and the church was quite full - we were not in the side chapel. The largest number of people there were sort of asian looking (not to be rude but I don't know how else to put it) - not so many of us white British people.
