Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I looked at the Catholic Bishop's movie review site, but didn't find anything for upcoming releases except for their Golden Compass one, read here.

I cannot believe that the USCCB took the authors motives so lightly--going so far as to recommend reading the books with your children instead of forbidding them. I read this review in our diocesan paper this morning, and I wonder that my children didn't see the smoke from my ears.

This is raising concern as it should be. I found this article at Life Site. There are many people seeking to have this reviewer, the Director of the USCCB Office for Film, fired. It quotes that "many bishops are horried at what has been done in their name." The author suggests respectfully contacting your bishop and voice your concern about this review.

I just finished a rather lengthy review on my blog about Noelle. It is very different from the Catholic League's review posted earlier.

Basically, my take is that it is nowhere as bad as the CL's review would have you believe. There are many plot elements that I think explain many of the CL's compalints. Bottom-line is that the folks involved in making the movie may be culpable of ignorance, but it's not a "Catholic-bashing" movie at all and nothing that is done in the movie seems to be from a malignant view.

Just my $.02.
