Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Jodie - I am thinking of getting some knee high boots. The silk underwear sounds comfortable - where do you get it from? I am allergic to wool - so not an option

The ones I have are from http://www.cabelas.com their brand and they're 100% silk. I like it because other fabrics don't "grab" at the silk.

You might also consider a slip or underskirt made out of a warmer fabric.. I have a flannel lined denim skirt that is very warm.. it's my choice for wearing when I have to be outside in the weather.. like for soccer or lacrosse.. and everyone is looking at me like I'm nuts for wearing a skirt but *I* feel like i'm wrapped in a warm blanket

If you sew (kind of a tangent to the tights/socks point of the OP)--make yourself some flannelbacked sating slips. Warm, and the satin on the other side, keeps the flannel from sticking to the skirts. Make sense?

So even though they wouldn't be 100% cotton, does anyone know of a place to get cute tights that are striped or patterned. I love the fun tights my girls have (even though 2 refuse to wear them, but I think that is more because they itch them- they wear tall fun socks instead). I would like them to be mostly cotton or wool and not outrageous in price. I would like some black and other solid colors but I love the cute patterned ones, like cute patterned socks. But I can't stand the feel of all of those cute patterned socks, they give me the chills, just like pantyhose
Just thinking ahead for winter too!
