Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Oh dear, these things just happen.    My poor hubby fell half way down the stairs with our first baby when he was only a few weeks old. The cat darted between his legs like the devil was chasing it just as he was in mid step. The baby wasn't hurt at all, just a scraped knee, but poor hubby was never so grateful to dislocate a collar bone in his life by twisting to land on the bottom. He didn't even notice the dislocation at first he was that terrified that he'd hurt the baby.

I'll pray for both of you to get some comfort and relief.

Glad he's okay other than the swelling and discomfort. Praying for both of you.

Oh no. I'm praying for the poor little guy - and for your jangled nerves. I slipped on the sidewalk on my way home from Mass, holding my then 1-year-old Catherine. We turned out to be alright. Amazing since I landed right on top of her.

Scared me half to death. (((HUGS)))

OH, I'll pray! This is something I had frequent waking nightmares about with my daughter.

I have so many times almost fallen with my 7th. It really jars me (last time I was shaken so bad tears were streaming from my eyes). I feel for you and we're praying here that everything is resolved quickly and that baby gets back to nursing!

Today the swelling is down and just a little noticeable. His lip is still swollen, but nursing has resumed. I just can't wait until he looks perfect again.

I feel so terrible that this happened! Thank God he's okay. . .and I really feel all the prayers have helped. Thank you all so much.
