I forgot to mention earlier that I mailed mine yesterday. I mailed it first class instead of priority, so you should have it Saturday or Monday.

Ours are in the mail too. If you like spoilers, you can take a peek at them here. Or don't if you're not a last chapter first kind of person. Can you tell I am excited about this? I was explaining the whole thing to the lady at the post office. I am sure she thought I had lost my mind, but...oh well. It's not the first time and I'm sure it won't be the last!

The wheat is mailed!
I have to say though...it's not "real" wheat...I used raffia. Apparently I hit the craft stores just days too late, they already took away all their "wheat", I thought they'd still have it for Tgiving...guess not.
Anyhoo...please know, that although it's not the 'real' wheat, I made the ornaments in the kitchen while two loaves of freshly milled whole wheat flour bread were baking. So maybe the aroma somehow transferred! HA! So 'wheat' is there in spirit (or something like that )
I'm just as excited to see everyone's creativeness as I am to actually put the ornaments on the tree!!!

LOL, the note you included about the whole wheat flour bread cracked me up. Don't worry about using real wheat - my ornament isn't a real baby.

Maryan, I'm floored! I can't believe your ornaments are going to be here on time. Even if they get delayed and arrive on Friday, I'll be able to mail everything by Tuesday at the absolute latest. Thanks so much for volunteering. In the world of craft swaps, those who step in when someone needs to drop is called an "angel".

Today the mailman arrived with one of those postal boxes filled with packages. I want to let everyone know that their ornaments arrived, but sending individual PMs is a pain. So today's shipments included:
colorful coat
10 Commandments
Stick with bronze snake
slingshot
fiery furnace
star
Previously received
apple and snake
ark and rainbow
sheaf of wheat
shepherd's staff
cross
lamb 1
baby Jesus
