My parents did not have to evacuate! They could see the flames on Mount San Miguel though. We continue to pray.
Although we need the rain here, I sure wish I could send it west.

He is a priest, Fr. Chrysostom Baer, and I believe that he is the dean of the school. Here is a link with some pictures, Chari. You may notice that we look A LOT alike. Thanks for the prayers!

I talked to my friend Gloria, whose son Walter boards at the school there...........she said all is safe now? Walter got to come home to Sf for a few days.

I was wondering about everyone else's family and friends too. Chrysostom said he thought they'd be able to go back this weekend, but the confrere he took to my parents' house with him has asthma so they'll stay until the air quality is better.

John spent 8 years at St. Michael's discerning his vocation. He is now happily married with 6 kids and teaches math at Thomas Aquinas College. I believe he had Willa's son for a student!
