Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Great article, Lisa! I love that you're "quite fashionable" wearing your wraps!
I'm feeling inspired to try wearing my Patrick on my back. I have a sling w/ rings, and he really likes being carried. But he's so grabby that it's dangerous. I found some pix of mom's wearing their babies on their backs using this type of sling, but I think it's mostly older babies?
I think I'll be off to the fabric store this weekend to buy some yardage. The pictures at Dawnie's link look pretty easy to follow!

Thanks everyone! The lady that wrote the article goes to my church. She's been asking me for two years now to do this story and I've put her off because I thought it was a strange thing to write a news story about!    Then I agreed to do it after I had Mark to 1. promote the birth center where I teach classes 2. to give a positive plug for big families 3. to promote gentle mothering.(and of course to promote babywearing!) I think she made it all very positive! Suzanne, I figured you'd appreciate the fashion aspect! Judy (the auther) origionaly asked be about my wraps because she said they always matched my dress!

So Lisa, would you recommend doing a back carry with a non-stretchy wrap over a Moby? I tried the hike hold (that's what the Moby instructions call it) and I felt like she was falling out all the time. Plus she kept pulling her arms out and the pictures show the baby with her arms in. So then I really became uncomfortable with it, I was scared she was going to fall backwards and be hanging from it What back carry would you recommend with the Moby? I am thinking about making a non-stretchy wrap, should it be the same size of the Moby? Or do you have better dimensions? Also what's the best fabric to use for one?(for those of you who have made a wrap)
