Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

The Zafu thing was fun, but unfortunately they don't list my favorite brand of jeans: Arizona. I wore Arizona in high school and in attempts to be slightly more stylish in college I tried various other brands. I decided to try Arizona again last year, and they still fit me the best.

Throw tomatoes at me, but I'm one of those weird people who still has basically the same body size and shape that I had at high school graduation, even after two kids. Although, I do notice that weight is starting to collect at my waist now instead of going to the balcony and the orchestra, if you know what I mean.

Pants shopping has always been a pain, though. Pants are always either two big in the waist or to short in the leg. Arizona is the only one that has come close to fitting well, that I can afford anyway.

Long and Lean

From the Gap. I think you have to click on 'long and lean'. I love these jeans! I bought mine at an outlet for next to nothing several babies ago. Oprah was touting these way back when...my fashionable sister told me so, anyway. I think they come in different lengths as well.

Good luck, Mary Chris!

Those are neat! I like the "Essentials" too.

I wish you had the option of putting those jeans on THE VIRTUAL MODELS of NORMAL SIZED women! Come on!!!! At LEAST give us a size 6, 8 or 10!!! Spare us with the size 0 and 2 and 4!!!!!

Speaking of virtual models.....here's a Virtual Model Website that is kind of fun. I used it when losing weight after the last baby. It's so cool to see your body at a current weight and then "down 30 or 40" or whatever.

I would recommend going to Christopher and Banks (or CJ Banks if you are larger than a 14, which I am ). I just went there this week and got alot of stuff that flatters me even though I am carrying 40 extra pounds. Their stuff is cut to fit regular women not sticks. I have always found the saleswomen to be kind and helpful (I have shopped in different locations). I am the world's worst shopper and generally quit before I even get started so the fact that I was able to shop and get clothes there is a testament to how great they are. And if you are short like me, you can often find cropped things that end up being just the right length. I bought 2 pairs of jeans and 3 pairs of pants and I don't have to shorten any of them (and I am 4'11").

I've actually had some luck at Old Navy. Not the low cut, have to peel them off types, mind you.    I'm not sure what they have now, but I'm short waisted and carry all my weight around my middle, and have found jeans and more recently, very casual kackis, that sit on the very tops of my hips, just below my waist. They are way more comfortable, and make you look thinner. I always get asked if I've lost weight if I'm wearing them. Of course, I can't get them buttoned right now . . .

I like jeans from New York and Company. I wait until they are having a jean sale (I think it is going on right now) and then buy them for $15 a piece.

I third or fourth (lost count) of Eddie Bauer jeans. I gave away two pairs of jeans last year and am left with ONE pair of Eddie Bauers. I need to inhale to button the waist, but the hips and legs feel great. Usually, if jeans are comfy around my waist, I look like I'm swimming in them elsewhere.
