Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

have you seen this yahoo group? It is called Hogwarts Summer Correspondence School. There are TONS of ideas and more on the corresponding sub-groups - recipes, crafts, "spoof texts", etc. Not all of it would be appropriate, but lots is. And lots of parents don't limit it to summer. I have found bunches of neat ideas there.

I just got access to this group, and WOW. I've printed out texts for Herbology, Runes, Potions, Defense Against the Dark Arts and Hogwarts, an Art History. They are really nicely done.

It's a really neat group, and there is so much cool stuff. I'm going to surprise my dd with a stack of new Hogwarts school books this morning when we begin our first day of Hogwarts school.

I'm glad I saw this this morning. This can keep my dd10 busy. We decided to bring her home last week. She read the series of books this summer and we are in need as she loves to be kept busy.
Thank you for sharing, Theresa

Hey I just received my August Nat'l Geographic and on p. 31 "Harry Potter's Garden - it talks about the plants mentioned in the books and what they are really good for and their traditional meanings and symbols!

For the life of me, I can't pull it up online or a would link it for you.
