Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Please pray for us this morning. We are headed out for an open house at the farm The other two open houses were rained out. We're leaving here shortly.

And I meant to update last week. The package arrived from USDA. We're encouraged somewhat by the package. We may qualify under the federal "beginning farmer" guidelines. This would mean a 'first dibs' situation for us.

We pray that this is the place God wants our ministry to be. St. Joseph, St. Benedict, St. Isidore... Pray for us!

No news on the farm as yet - they are STILL reviewing applications and may not be done with those until the end of this month. HOWEVER, I have been presented with an opportunity to begin our ministry to the poor before we've even got the facilities.

I have been asked to speak to a group of women who live at Federal Housing. It is the largest public housing project in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. I will be covering grocery budgeting, nutrition/health, cookery, simple living, self-sufficiency (hopefully giving them tools to get themselves OUT of the projects), and most of all bringing the Light of Christ into their lives. Many of these women feel like throw-aways, without hope.

I'm very nervous, but am praying for abundant grace to first bear His love, then to help with what I know. Please pray for me and for our ministry.
