Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Are these stitches really easier than I think they are?

I agree with Mary. But remember knitting really is simple, don't (or try not) to get stressed. Sometimes it sounds harder than it really is. I have found that my girls like the challenge and wan to try other stitches. Then again they are surrounded by the fiber arts and many friends who also knit. It is great mind exercise to have them play with the concepts, it gets both sides of the brain working.   Let me know Maria if you need more help.

I am left handed and my mom and Omi tried to teach me that way but I soon discovered it was easier just to knit right handed. My dd who is a lefty also knits right handed I think it was a little hard at first but so worth it in the end. Try just teaching her right handed...it's worth a try. Annie
