Yes I am a little  to post that in light of the healthy eating thread. I just found out that my dh is going to deploy next year.  He really wanted this job and it is a huge big deal for him, so since he is away, I smiled through the phone and told him how proud I am of him. But now I want to wallow in some self pity and I don't have any chocolate cake...... from Wegman's. Lucky for me I bought the big bag of M&M's at Costco yesterday, but it won't be the same. Maybe when I buy that Everyday Plaid Vera Bradley bag I'll feel better....but you know self medicating (with chocolate and shopping) only gets you so far  .
We HAVE NOT told our kiddos yet, and probably won't for a while.

And that's that. All the cats out of their bags now!
Well, dear, that Amish friendship cake is nearly ready to bake. And I know how to make it chocolate. Let's walk in the AM and then I'll make it for breakfast. We'll eat it with truffles. I bought some for the conference, to leave on Janette's pillow, and I forgot. Janette won't mind contributing to the cause.

I wish I was your neighbor, as I would bring that chocolate cake ASAP and cry into it with you.
I guess I self-medicate with the same "goodies" except I might add a glass of red wine or margarita to the evening after ds was in bed.

What bittersweet news! If I were living locally, I would bring you that chocolate cake, give you a hug and sit a spell to chat.
But since I am not, I will be praying for your husband and for your upcoming year as you prepare for his deployment.

Yeah, I reconsidered. Christian should be ringing her doorbell right about now with the truffles. Cake tomorrow.

Oh, Mary Chris...
I will volunteer my dh as online car consultant. He has diagnosed car problems via cell phone and e-mail. ("Is it going 'kathunkkathunk?") Please know I'll ride to your rescue...even at 2:00 a.mn.

I am kinda jealous. I wish TN were in VA.

If you ladies swing by this way in the morning on your walk, I have a whole bucket of candy (might have some chocolate lurking in there ) that I would be willing to donate to the cause. I'm so sorry I'm not going to be here for you next year Mary Chris - know that I will be praying for you, dh and the kiddos.

Oh no!!!!!! I went to bed -- I should have been reading this last night -- and eating chocolate with you.
By the way -- I can imagine Mackenzie is getting suspicious by all the chocolate cakes showing up on your doorstep!
ETA - no staying in CA, no matter how enticing offers may sound please...
