UPDATE:
Great news!!! Lily did great....she slept the whole morning, never woke up hungry, they got her IV FIRST TRY (miracle!!) went to surgery easily, the trach went in easily....and now she is sleeping peacefully on a vent for the night, while they keep her sedated and quiet for the night. I think once she is off the vent tomorrow, I can hold her. We got to see her face for the first time, looking straight at her, instead of peeking at her as she lay belly down....she is even more delicate and pretty, has a face that melts you!!!Best of all...she is breathing so well,on her back (she hasn't tolerated being on her back at all) without all of the obstructions and low oxygen readings....she looks so comfortable.
I did all of my crying before the surgery, because once I saw her so relaxed and breathing easily, pink and beautiful, I just thanked God that He gave me this beautiful daughter....
May God richly bless all of you for offering up so many prayers for a baby you haven't even seen!! I am humbled and so grateful for your faithfulness and kindness. GOD IS GOOD!!!

HI Everyone,
First, thank you so much for your prayers for our little Lily. She got her trach like I said above, on Tuesday....she looked great the first day post op, but yesterday, she didn't look as good to me. Some of her white counts are elevated, and after a few other labs, they have decided to start IV antibiotics. She has had three IV's go bad now  , and presently has one in her scalp. That is a heartbreaker to me...I can't stand that she has been stuck so many times, for labs and IV's...and now may have an infection....she is breathing faster, and a little less alert. I am trying not to panic, everytime the docs look at her, they are like, "well, her oxygen levels are good, she looks okay to me", they did say maybe she is in more pain now that morphine has worn off, and anesthesia...so they gave her another dose of morphine last night, and she rested comfortably, from what the nurse said. I wouldn't be so worried if we were back home, but I don't have the comfort level with this hospital that I did with the other, and I don't think they are as fastidious as what I am used to...big teaching university hospital to now a smaller private hospital....it is a different environment....I need prayers for peace and wisdom in this area, to know if God is leading us in a different direction with providers.
On a positive note....my leg is healing from the superficial blood clot that has been VERY painful...they started antibiotics, and I had a nice  reaction to the first antibiotic...not fun...but hopefully this one will work.
I want Lily home so bad!!!! Our next hurdle is feedings, hopefully she can take off with a specialized bottle meant for kids with clefts, but her lack of jaw size will be a big challenge.
I pray for all of you and your intentions as well!
