Praying mightily here for this family and the repose of Rachel's soul. I just can not image in the pain. This is a great fear of mine. My 19 ds just left last week to drive 1100 miles to school alone and I was so worried. It is such a reminder to cherish every moment with our children.

Please keep praying for Lucia and her dh Todd. Though they are finding great comfort in their faith, they are struggling with tremendous grief. Please include all of her siblings in your prayers too, they are hurting.
I wish I were better at "putting pen to paper". I want to share with you how awesome this family is. They have such a wonderful, faith filled home. They have a great love for each other and the kids are truly each other's best friend. Keep this in mind when you read the info in the above links. Rachel was a wonderful, loving, beautiful girl who was strong in her catholic faith. Unfortunately, like so many of our young people (and, truth be told, so many adults too), she made a really bad choice...getting into the car with someone who had been drinking. Please share this story with your (age appropriate, of course) children. Show them how life changes in a split second. Tell them how this loving daughter would never ever have wanted to case her family such deep pain.
