I wanted to thank everyone for such a wonderful time!
I feel so much more focused and relaxed about this year now. My fears of teaching high school are mostly gone.
I want to say a special thank you to everyone who helped either my husband Ken or myself with our runaway toddler, Mary Catherine. My husband was the one using the cane, with the broken toe/foot.
Our plan of him chasing her around was somewhat curtailed by this, lol. Even the children were helpful, though, and it all worked out.
Your patience and the way all of you radiated Christ warmed my heart, and just confirmed our convictions. We converted only a year and so ago, so we are still fairly new to this. :-)
I also won the St Gerard medal, which made us laugh. It also made us reflect, on the ride home, how far we have come in our 15 years of marriage. From a viewpoint of "church is okay, but not for us" and "planning" and "preventing" pregnancy, to our current openness to life and our own relationships to Christ. Seeing my husband receive Christ's body and blood still makes me tear up. It is an answer to many, many prayers.
His patience with me yesterday was also given from above! I don't think it was the most comfortable place to be, but he knew how much it meant to me, and we stayed until 4. Maybe most husbands would have automatically done this, but to us, with our background, this is just another affirmation of our conversions.
Thank you for inspiring us, welcoming us, and helping us even learn a little bit more about this new road we are on.

Well, I am just now back home and what a wonderful time I had!
I'd like to thank Marychris and Elizabeth for their hospitality and all the yummy food, Rachel for her patience with all my stressing over the Powerpoint set-up, Maryan for her incredible enthusiasm and helpfulness, Cindy for making sure I didn't get lost, Kathleen for letting me hold that fabulous curly-headed baby, Merdedith for helping ease my anxieties about speaking, and everyone else there-from organizers to speakers to vendors to the many sweet women who complimented my talk and made me feel so supported and encouraged- for being so kind and friendly and just so very wonderful!
I feel so blessed just to have had the opportunity to meet you all. You are everything I had thought you would be and more!
It was a great experience and one I will treasure for many years to come.

Ladies, husbands and families, thank you for such a wonderful and inspiring day!  It was terrific to meet so many of you in person!

Yes! Thank you so much! I had to scoot out early too, and missed thanking everyone, but I wanted to say that the conference was everything I'd hoped it would be and more!
