Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I left this evening realizing that I didn't get a chance to say a few thank you's, so... here it is after the fact.

Thank you to all the speakers who traveled so far and made the sacrifice to edify us. This homeschooling newbie is so grateful.

To all those who traveled people who came from far places -- it was so neat to meet you in person... and I wish it was longer so I could have met more of you. It was fun to put a voice and a face to a name.

To all the committe members, the husbands and the kids, the volunteers and the contributors who did SO much. Thank you.

To our fun vendors -- especially those on the board here -- shopping is always my downfall. I'm so glad you could come down to Manassas and tempt me.

And to those of you who couldn't come today, you were in our thoughts and prayers. And I hope someday we can meet 4 Real.

And I am REALLY grateful that the talks were taped to both DVD and CD... because I'm going to watch them over and over again. So those of you who missed can watch for an update from Elizabeth about taping information. YAY Mike Foss for taping.

I wish I could have been there, I had planned to come as a walk-in but life got in the way today. I really missed having the opportunity to meet so many of you in person and will look forward to watching that video when it is available.

Amen, and I second what Maryan said. It was an absolute blessing to be with all of you beautiful women today. And it was so much fun to say "Oh, you're ...!"

Boy, am I glad there are tapes and CDs-even though I was there, trying to keep an 8 week old content kept my focus elsewhere and I know I missed out on quite a bit but what I did gather was excellent and now I can't wait to get started.

Maryan, it was good to see you again and you did a wonderful job with keeping up with everything!

From where I sat (one of the vending tables in the back ), it seemed like EVERYONE had a wonderful day. I loved meeting so many of you from here!

Congratulations on the success! Do we know how many were there?

I think Elizabeth said 138?

I know I was shocked at how FULL the parking lots were. (I was even on time, for once.)

Thank you Maryan and all of you who organized it - I was able to come at the last moment - just for the morning - and what an anwer to prayer. Great to meet people IRL, and to show off my littlest guy and thank the so many people who had been praying for us. I had been re-reading Elizabeth's Real Learning all week - as a treat and to inspire me in my learning plans. Going to the conference was just what a tired, postpartum mom needed - a good reminder of why we are learning at home, what our main goals should be etc. THANK YOU to all of you again - and prayers for safe travel all those who travelled a long way.

I was disappointed not to be able to make it, either, when we live so close. I am glad it seems to have been a really successful event!

What an absolutely wonderful, enjoyable day. Thank you so much to the ladies who put it together and to those who came as vendors, as well as to the supportive families of all of those folks.

Peace,

I just finished counting....148! And that doesn't count vendors, speakers, coordinators, helpers, kids, or Maryan who did the work of 100 strong men.

THANK YOU, Maryan and everyone! What a great day!
