Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am using a ruler and pencil to trace the shapes onto the mats. The mats are colored but see-through, so that can be easily done. Then I am using an old pair of kitchen shears that will cut anything to cut the mats. I was thinking, though, of trying my rotary cutter to get an even cleaner edge. The scissor edge will do fine, but I would like to have that clean rotary cut. I'm not sure how well it will do- it will be an experiment.

I have the mats from Target for these triangles, but I am thinking of something else. I have a few pizza boxes from Walmart (those premade ones from the deli), and I'm thinking about cutting those to size and painting them the correct color. Then I'd use a Sharpie or Magic Marker to draw the black lines.

The more I think about it, I like the idea of having some a little "chunkier" to pick up and work with. I don't have a clue how these will turn out, so wish me luck!

Has anyone tried this with the triangles?
