Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We have a very similar type of chair -- the Stokke Kinderzeat, aka the Tripp Trapp -- in our dining area. The Svan chair is another brand I've seen here in the US.    They're expensive, around $200 each, but very well made, and they look like they'll last forever. They're available at a lot of online stores.   These chairs are becoming very popular, so I'm sure there are also made-in-China imitations on the market.

Our children started using the Kinderzeat at around 18 months, when they were able to climb up and down by themselves. We only use the dining table for meals (and sometimes arts & crafts), but it would be functional for Montessori, if the children were old & tall enough to put their materials up on the table easily. For now, at ages 2 and 3, they definitely prefer the child-sized tables for their "work."

As another option for the dining table, there are "youth chairs" (similar concept, but not adjustable, and usually not quite as easy to get into/out of) that are available from unfinished furniture stores, Amish craftsmen, etc. As with adult dining chairs, the prices and styles of these are all over the map, but they seem to start in the $50-60 range.
