I am reading Sophia House now. I loved Father Elijah when I read it some years ago. And I enjoyed a few others. But I remember not really liking the last one or two much. (I can't remember the titles now.) In the beginning, I found that I was enjoying Sophia House as much, if not more, than Father Elijah. Unfortunately, I did not like the middle section consisting of the play. Now that I am back to the narrative part, I am enjoying it once again.

I've realized that I really like good historical fiction set during WWII.

Well, I just finished Eclipse of the Sun last night and I think it was almost as good as Fr. Elijah.

As for historical fiction of WWII, I read Herman Wouk's series years ago (high school) and remember them as being good, although I haven't re-read them to see if I still agree. I can't remember the names of the books either. I think there are 2.
