I've been struggling with this for months now... make that years. It always gets worse after the birth of a baby.
My thinking is skewed, my relationships with family are rocky because I'm on edge and touchy much of the time. I'm sure my children can feel it  .
I don't know if there are truly health issues involved or if my depression is the cause of my health issues. I've had my thyroid tested and it's fine. I've tried to deal with this without medication, but it's gotten so bad that I started on an antidepressant and am just hoping it helps soon.
I've done novenas to St. Anthony and St. Dymphna. Now my prayer is simply "help me God."

Suzanne, I will pray for you, too. Do not feel bad about your decision to try medication. It may take some time to find the right thing, but once you do your life can turn around in short order. I hope you have a safety net of family support. I will be praying, Suzanne. I love your children's names!

Suzanne, praying for you! Have you been tested to see if you have high mercury levels? Just when you said, "my thinking is skewed" I can relate to that statement when I was extremely mercury toxic...

Suzanne,
You are in my prayers this week. May God give you great joy and know that you are not alone. What a blessing this forum is. To be able to have such support from such wonderful women is amazing!!!
If possible, look into what Annie said. Remember, God is with you always and with all the prayers, you can have confidence in our wonderful and loving God.

Praying too, Suzanne. Have hope, OK? God will only allow you to be tried and tested to a certain point without relief. It always seems "beyond our strength" but we are not aware of what are strength really is and how much we can really take. God knows what is best for us in the minute, micro-level and in the "big picture" kind of way. He is not letting you drop or fall nondiscriminately or carelessly. He knows exactly what is going on at every second. I know you know this intellectually and on a deep faith level, but it is so hard to FEEL it, the love and protection and care....I know! I hope you can find a place of trust and rest in Him through this time, until you start to feel better.
