Hey Kacky.
I printed mine off earlier this evening. I grabbed a big 3" binder from the school cabinet. I'll work on a cover for the notebook tomorrow. I'm thinking I can get 2, maybe 3 albums in this binder. I printed the cover sheet and put it in a sheet protector. That way it sticks out farther than anything else in that album. Then, once printing and 3 hole punching, I grabbed some tabbed dividers (I keep several in the school cabinet at all times!) labeled them, and placed them in the notebook. Each bolded topic got a divider, so that means your practical life album will have 13 dividers. Now that my notebook is set up, all I should need to do is print and file them in the appropriate section in my notebook.
I am tempted to move the album into individual notebooks - in that case I'll probably just grab a 1" or 1 1/2" notebook. I think I will probably do that - makes sense to have each album in an individual notebook. HTH Kacky!

I'm in too -- just joined a few minutes ago! I was on the fence about whether to join, but the enthusiasm here finally pushed me over the edge. Karen asked me to mention here that she'll be accepting new students through Wednesday.

Thanks for the information, Amy; I just sent her an e-mail asking to sign up. I already have the NAMC training, but it sounds like Karen is more oriented toward homeschoolers, so I'm thinking I could still learn something new. And the group format sounds like fun!

Thanks Jennifer!
I bought a bunch of tabbed dividers today. My dh has those huge huge binders that he doesn't use anymore. So I might start storing in there until I really start using them daily...then pull them out and put them in the individual notebooks.

Just back from vacation and catching up. I missed all the info on the class. Where do you sign up and is it in fact too late?

Wendi,
Go here, scroll to the bottom of the page, and click on the link to email Karen and ask if you can still get in. She did say she was taking new students through Wednesday, but I'm not sure what time zone she's in.
Good luck!

Okay, I'm printing and putting stuff together the best I can. But I'm already overwhelmed! What else are we supposed to be doing, just reading it all?

I'm glad you posted this, JoAnna! I was wondering the same thing. Here I was merrily printing and binding away, and thinking any day now we'd be getting to the actual instruction part... and then Karen's latest e-mail mentions how she'll have gathered and answered all the questions she's received so far on Friday.
Um, were we supposed to be asking questions already?
But it's still very early in the class. I'm sure her Friday Q&A compilation will be helpful.

Yes you are just supposed to read over the lessons and ask any questions. She keeps it pretty informal, and just moves on if there are no questions- so ask away! I try to read through the day's presentations and pick one (at least) to practice and present to my children. I seem to learn it better with that hands-on approach- montessori educating myself

I like that idea Andrea - practicing one presentation a week from the class!
I sort of choked too when I saw that she was going to respond to questions...were we supposed to ask questions? Oops. Oh well. I still need to read over and print out my stuff from yesterday so I can be ready for the downloads tomorrow.

Oh and since I'm fessing up to being so behind already, I have several printed pages with no numbers on them and they aren't listed on the multiple tables of contents we have. So I'm stressing over putting these pages in the right order, LOL...
Argh- I'm off to bed and I'll deal with it tomorrow...

Here's an idea- what about a weekly thread where we could all share one presentation we did that week with our kiddos- and our observations of it?

Oh my gosh, it's going to be a busy weekend for me catching up here I will be placing all my materials in separate binders as my already full 2 1/2 inch binder is exploding from all the web-albums I've already printed
I'm so excited so many of us are doing the classes together Welcome back to everyone who was traveling as well, it's good to be home!!
Blessings!

That's a great idea, Andrea... I'll be taking notes from you all as much as from the class, I'm sure! My ds just turned 2, so he's not ready for me to demonstrate most of these presentations, but I'm eager to see how they work with your dc.

I'm signed up for the class too! We just got back from vacation and I'll be playing "catch up" over the next week or so. Looking forward to seeing all the downloads, etc!

Welcome back Suzanne!! So glad to have you *with* us again! The beginning posts and files are all Practical Life, so it should be pretty easy for you to sort through and decide what to print! Glad you're doing this too!!
